Genuine Lapis Lazuli beaded stretch bracelet with brass accent beads and a large center stone.  The round beads measure 8 millimeters, the center stone measures approximately 40 millimeters across. Total carat weight of this bracelet is 106 carats/21 grams.  The deep blue color of these stones is mesmerizing and pairs well with amethyst, turquoise, gold, ruby, tiger eye quartz, jaspers and other earthy, rustic gemstones.

Lapis Lazuli has a long history as a decorative and valuable gemstone and is one the the oldest known gems along with turquoise. The blue color comes from the mineral sodalite. When sodalite has combined with a variety of other minerals, Lazuli is the end result. Historically, Lapis imported from Asia was also used as the basis for paint, however this is cost prohibitive and no longer in practice.
